From sun up to sun down people are working around the clock, some longer than others. Most people would say that they’re busy with school or work, though they don’t hold a candle when compared to one who takes on both challenges. Introducing senior STUCO Vice President, Olivia Saliba.
Saliba is nothing short of an academic scholar, as she has been taking AP classes every year during high school. Saliba even made sure to really test herself during her senior year, taking up a full schedule with an extra class on top to really boost her GPA. To pass an AP class is already impressive enough, but to tackle nine AP classes is a formidable feat. With her GPA being 4.6 it’s clear that she’s always challenging herself, striving to be better at all times.
Saliba is a part of six different after school clubs and programs, participating in DECA, LSU, FBLA, Dance, Student Council, and State Student Council to top it off. Though both student council roles fill up most of her time, she’s still able to perform at her very best whenever she may be needed.

Saliba is always looking ahead for what’s next, whether it’s another club, shift, or even voluntary community service, she always is excited to do something beneficial for herself and others around her.
“I feel like many people don’t use their day to the fullest, there’s twenty four hours in a day, why not use all twenty four?” stated Saliba.
Saliba ensures her time is put to good use, Her causal day involves at least 3 of the 6 groups that she’s a part of. Saliba states that her Student Council work occupies her the most over any other group she participates in. Even so, she is still able to take care of her business even outside office hours.
As her days are tediously long, Saliba’s friends and family are always there to help her up when she needs it the most. Saliba is thankful to those around her and she knows that she can rely on them in her toughest of times, giving props to her mother, father, best friend, and her teachers as well. Saliba specifically thanks Mrs. Dover for helping her with her time at school.
Saliba appreciates the relationships she has made in her lifetime. Her best friend, Jordan Woodard, is one of the most cherished people in her life. Saliba is grateful for her best friend as she has always been there for her.
When she does get the day off of all of her duties, Saliba likes to unwind at home or with her friends. To ease her mind she prefers to catch up on sleep but if there’s a group hangout she always enjoys the time with her friends.
“If you’re not doing what you want, you’ll regret it, I want to live without regretting the things I could’ve done, so I’ll use all the time I’m given because I know the time I have now is something that I’ll never get back,” stated Saliba.
