As senior year comes to a close, Disneyland Grad Night is one of the most exciting events the class of 2026 has to look forward to. This trip is a chance to celebrate years of hard work, make lasting memories with friends, and enjoy a night filled with fun at one of the most iconic places in the world. To make sure everyone has a safe, organized, and unforgettable experience, it is important that all students understand the rules, expectations, and important trip details ahead of time.
Assistant Principal Karissa Guthrie stated, “To attend Grad Nite, students can’t be on the no privilege list, and that means they can’t have more than two failing grades, more than 7 unexcused absences, or more than 10 unexcused tardies in any one class.”
Each student attending Grad Nite received a packet that outlines the important rules and expectations, all forms required to attend, payment details, and the itinerary for the trip.
Students and chaperones will arrive at Shadow Ridge and meet in the counselors quad for check in at 3:00 AM, then depart SRHS at 3:30. Busses will not be held for any reason, so all students and chaperones should make sure they are on time to check in and boarding busses. The busses will arrive at Disneyland around 9:00 AM and those attending will spend the day in both Disneyland and California Adventure.
“Students will receive a grad nite bag that has snacks.” Guthrie stated, “That bag is all that the students can bring.”
At 9:00 pm, California Adventure will become open to only Grad Nite seniors and chaperones from 9:00 pm through 1:00 am. At 1:30 am, everyone will return to the busses to depart Disneyland at 2:00 am. Students will be reminded to contact their rides when they get to the Nevada state line.
The $380 cost includes travel, snacks on the bus, a park hopper pass, and entrance to Grad Nite. This cost does not cover any souvenirs, meals, or other snacks, so it is recommended that students bring spending money to cover these things.

Any prohibited items such as alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, glass containers of any kind, outside food or drink, etc. will be confiscated, and students could end up not attending the trip, walking at graduation, and not participating in any more senior events this year. If a student chooses to not follow rules and guidelines provided by Shadow Ridge and Disneyland, their patient or guardian will be required to pick them up in Anaheim, California.
“Students were required to be cleared by their counselor saying that they are on track for graduation, and had to be checked for the no privilege list.” Guthrie says.
Students also had to have all fines and fees paid to the banker, and have all forms completed such as the signed rules, the field trip form, and all medical forms. Any prescribed medications had to be listed on the medical form and approved prior to the Grad Nite trip.
Disneyland Grad Night is meant to be a fun and memorable way for seniors to celebrate the end of high school, but it also comes with important responsibilities. Following the rules, staying on schedule, and meeting all school requirements ensures that everyone can enjoy the trip safely and without issues. By being prepared and making responsible choices, seniors can make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime experience and end their final year at Shadow Ridge with unforgettable memories.
