Who is that Teacher’s Pet?

Often, teacher’s pets can reveal a lot about a teacher. See if these pets really match the personality of the adults students find in front of the classroom on a daily basis. The animals featured in this article are the real heroes of Shadow Ridge High School.
Boulder
Mr. Nighswonger’s cat Boulder is 8 years old although he has only had him for 6 years. Nighswonger says, “I had to give in to my wife’s demands and nagging.” This is what made him adopt his cat from a animal rescue. A unique attribute about Boulder is that he can eat many different things.
Cubby
Two and a half year old Cubby is Ms. Bornia’s cat. She has had him for two years after getting him from an animal shelter. She was feeling lonely and decided she need to get a furry friend. Although Cubby is cute, he can be very bossy and complains often.
Penelope
Mr. Hartley has an Olde English Bulldog named Penelope. She is now a year old but he has had her since she was 8 weeks old. He got Penelope from a breeder after his wife said she wanted one. Mr. Hartley said, “She is a giant goofball.” Even with how silly she can be, she is also a great emotional support dog.
Thor
Thor is Mrs. Sassy’s 9 month old Cavapoo. She got him on July 5th from a breeder in Ohio. While sick with Covid, she saw a dog as an advertisement and fell in love with him. She ended up getting a different dog in the end but Thor is now her baby. A unique trait Thor has is that he does not eat his food out of a dish, it has to be a spoon. He also will bark at himself anytime he sees his reflection...
Bindi
Bindi is Ms. Perri-Crane's 5 year old cat. She has had Bindi since she was born from the Homeward Bound Rescue. Ms. Perri-Crane's says, "A pet is a lot of company, entertainment and greets you when you come home." That is her reasoning on why she adopted Bindi. Mick
Ms. Chambers has a dog named Mick who is believed to be a Borderdoodle. Mick got rescued from a farm about a month ago although he is just under a year and a half old. Ms. Chambers sadly lost two dogs earlier this year making her third one lonely. This is what persuaded her to get another dog. Angus and Violet
Ms. Brackney has her two dogs Angus and Violet who are 6 and 7. She has had them since they were puppies from a rescue. Both are Shepard Husky mixes so they are talking and singing all the time. Ms. Brackney just loves dogs and believes they are the best which is what drove her to rescue Angus and Violet.
Rusty and Silverton
Rusty and Silverton, brothers that were rescued by Ms. Loo, will be 3 this upcoming February. During the pandemic just over 2 years ago Ms. Loo and her family wrote to a rescue which is how they were connected with the 2 kittens. Mr. Pack has a one eyed German Shepard named Buckeye who is 6 years old but Mr. Pack has only had him for 4 years. Only having one eye does not limit Buckeye at all.
