Studying and getting work done at home can be rather challenging when doing it alone, as those who get stuck on problems can be discouraged when doing their work. Many people believe that working with another person could help them. Having a study partner could help people grow in not only academics, but also being social. Introducing Zaelynn Lane, for her, it’s always a pleasure to help others out.

Lane would usually find herself with a portion of homework every week, though in her senior year of high school she finds herself with less work than usual, with her having less classes this year, Lane thought about offering her help to others.
When helping her peers, Lane prefers to keep things fun and simple with her pupils. She believes that part of the reason some may have trouble learning is because of the classroom atmosphere, as some may not like a certain aspect of their classroom. Lane tries her best to keep things entertaining while still learning.
Lane sees her hobby as a way of connecting with others as she creates a bond with her pupils, becoming some of her closest friends.
When she helps others it may be help such as her guiding students through an assignment or maybe just sitting on a call doing their work together, Lane offers any type of help she can give.
Before becoming the student tutor she is now, Lane actually struggled in school when it came to her own work. As Lane has a minor case of dyslexia she had difficulties in her work from elementary school to her seventh grade year in middle school. Having dyslexia as a kid can make learning experiences more difficult, as Lane had problems remembering the alphabet; she knows the mindset of those who have conflict when it comes to school.
With Lane knowing that there are others who are just like her it gives her the motivation and reasoning to keep helping others who have problems similar to hers.
She was committed to overcome her learning disability and began studying on her own. She also got her own support from tutors and teachers in her school. Over time her studying became a part of her everyday life, picking up better study habits but also productive hobbies throughout her day as well.

When Lane does her work she likes to listen to music or white noise to help her focus. She prefers to be hyper-focused on her work, when she gets distracted she stresses herself out. Lane dislikes when she gets distracted and she sees distractions as entirely time wasting and futile moments, she likes to be able to put in all her effort into her assignments, always giving it her all.
Although Lane enjoys helping others with their work she surprisingly doesn’t like the thought of homework; Lane believes that homework can actually get in the way of people’s day to day lives. With that thought in mind, she wants to ensure that those who are held up by it are also able to get it done so they can enjoy their personal time.
“You’re not alone in school, struggling doesn’t mean you’re incompetent it just means that you may understand things in a different manner, maybe even in a different way. No matter what, questions are better than not asking questions, you’ll never get an answer,” stated Lane.
