Class of 2025 will be keeping with the times as they have decided to take on a game of senior assassin. Senior assassin is a game where people are assigned targets and the only way to win the game is to eliminate targets by spraying them with a squirt gun when it is least expected. Students are only insured safety if they are wearing a pool floaty or goggles visibly. Senior Kate Quidato is the main organizer of the games and has set rules to ensure safety and a fair game.
Quidato says, “The rules of the game are pretty simple. In order to have a person or team eliminated, a photo or video must be sent in the SPLASHIN app. During school no one is allowed to get their opponent so school is a safe space. This also goes for no one can come to your practice, game, or work to eliminate you. If you want to be safe you must have goggles or a floatie physically showing. When the game starts all locations must be turned on or else you will not be able to participate in such round. No trying to get opponents out while driving!! Have fun and follow all rules!”
The ultimate goal of the game is to have a good time with friends before graduation.
Senior Assassin is a fun game among the seniors at Shadow Ridge who are willing to participate. It is a game that involves teams with friends and water with super fun ways to get opponents out or to stay safe from them.
The game will only last as long as the last people standing, but at most it will last two months and will begin March 24th. People can join the competition by downloading the SPLASHIN app and entering the game code UGDFVH.

The game will be played in teams and tracked easily within the app making the game convenient and easy to play. The rules for the teams also help the game to carry on in a fair manner.
Once the groups are made the app will automatically give a team a target. However there is something called purge mode where during every game at a random time it will go off having a 5 minute warning before it does. Purge Mode is when all the team’s targets disappear and it is now a free for all. Players can go after whomever they want and whomever is close to eliminate them,” says Quidato. “In order for your group to survive you must have an elimination! If your group doesn’t eliminate one player through the whole round, that group will be eliminated. Also, if you get eliminated at the end of the round but the rest of your group is still standing you will automatically be revived.”
Students are just as excited for the games to begin.
“For senior assassin I am most excited for fun drives with friends when going out to splash people and am excited to just make fun memories with my class,” says senior Kali Hamilton.
Though it is going to be a fun game, it will be a commitment which people may question making, however many would deem it well worth it.
“I decided to do it because for senior year my goal was to do as much as I possibly can since it is my last year of high school. I wanted to be able to make memories with not only my friends but make memories with others in my graduating class,” Hamilton adds.
Let the games begin!
