Camryn Lumada-Williams is a very social and ambitious junior at Shadow Ridge High School. She is the president and vice-president in two of the clubs at Shadow Ridge and is also in the advanced choir ensemble. Lumada-Williams enjoys socializing and getting creative with her fellow classmates as Vice President of the Fashion Club, and is the President of the Best Buddies Club. Lumada-Willams joined the Best Buddies Club because she loves helping people and spreading positivity.

“I’ve always admired working with people and helping people and making them smile, so when I got the opportunity to do that I was super excited about it,” said Lumada-Williams.

Whether it be singing, writing, or creating creative makeup looks, Lumada-Williams is interested in all kinds of art. Her main interest is music. Lumada-Williams loves to sing and is extremely talented at writing music. She uses her song writing as an outlet to express herself and relax from the stressors of everyday life. One place that she lets her singing talents shine is in the choir at Shadow Ridge.

Camryn works well with the kids, and is the hard working and friendly president of the Best Buddies Club.

“The people are really good, they’re all there for a reason and we all enjoy making music,” said Lumada-Williams.

She likes spending time with her friends and is always open to making new friends at Shadow Ridge. She is very family oriented and gets a lot of inspiration from her brother. Friends and people who know Lumada-Williams would describe her as compassionate, opened minded, and an overall caring person. Lumada-Williams is one of those special kind-hearted people who is always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and always tries to make everyone feel included.

Lumada-Williams’ goals for after she graduates are to pursue a career in the field of either music or writing, and is hoping to one day have songs playing on the radio. She really enjoys singing and would love to one day make that a part of her career. Her other aspiration is to be an actress and act alongside other movie stars and celebrities.

“It’s a lot of fun making up your own stories and having them come to life, so I would love to be a part of someone else’s story coming to life,” said Lumada-Williams.

She hopes to minor in musical theater in college, that way she would get the best of both worlds by combining her interests in music and acting together. Although she loves music, her main pursuit is a career in journalism. She loves sharing other peoples’ stories by writing for the Lariat at Shadow and hopes to one day be able to write stories for bigger publications. With Lumada-Williams’ passion and drive whichever path she ends up following she will go far.
