Downtown Las Vegas

In Las Vegas there are always new events coming up, whether it be a concert, festival, etc., there is always something going on that students can attend and have an amazing time.

Bruno Mars will be in town in the next few months. In June he will be here the seventh through the twentieth. Tickets are selling fast so if students are interested in attending, they need to start  thinking about buying them now. Maybe if June is too soon he will also be here August, 15-31st. He will be performing at the MGM Park, and tickets range from $336 – $653.

Concerts are always amazing and a good time.

“Bruno Mars is one of my favorite performers. I went to one of his concerts last year and I’m so glad he’s coming back to Vegas. I’m very excited to see him again and watch him perform some of my favorite songs live. It was my dream to see him perform at least once but now I’m very excited to see him again,” Sydney Mason, freshman, stated.

Another popular performer coming to Vegas is Adele. She is going on a long tour and performing some of her most famous songs. In the month of May she’ll be here on the 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th, and the 31st. And in June she’ll be here 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, and the 15th. She will be performing at the Caesars Palace Hotel. Tickets are selling now ranging from $823 – $3478.

“Being able to see Adele is always something I have wanted to do. I have listened to her since I was little and now I can finally get to see her in person. Her music is amazing and inspiring and I know that the concert is going to be beautiful and amazing,” Caiden Boggs, sophomore, stated.

There is more in Vegas than concerts though. For years Vegas has had a thing called First Friday. Every month on the first Friday of the month, people come together and host a huge event. There’s music, food, art, and a lot of interactive things students can do. Many vendors are there who sell artwork, clothes, etc. Tattoo artists and piercers put their business out there and do discount prices for tattoos and piercings. First Friday is for anyone who wants to have a good time and experience some Vegas culture. First Friday is held on Charleston Blvd. and Commerce St. near the LV Healing Garden.

“I’ve been going to First Friday since I was little. My mom and I have made it a tradition to go every month and have a good time. I love the music and the food. Vegas culture is really amazing and beautiful, and I hope to continue this tradition,” Alyssa Goldstein, sophomore, stated.

Whether it’s a fun concert or an amazing First Friday Vegas is a fun and amazing place. There are fun events always, and amazing things to do and experience.
