Las Vegas will once again host one of its most anticipated pop culture events as LVL Up Expo arrives April 24-26. Known for celebrating anime, video games, and cosplay, the convention continues to attract a growing number of attendees, including many students from Shadow Ridge High School.
LVL Up Expo has built a reputation as a vibrant gathering where fans can express their creativity and connect over shared interests. From elaborate costumes to artist booths and gaming tournaments, the event offers something for everyone. For students especially, it provides a unique opportunity to step into a world that blends imagination with community.
Shadow Ridge students who have attended in previous years say the experience is both exciting and memorable. Senior, Judah Kilgore, described the convention as a place where nearly any interest can be explored.
“It’s pretty cool I know a lot of people that go and if you’re a fan of anything it’s there,” Kilgore said.
His comments highlight the wide appeal of the expo, which spans multiple fandoms and hobbies.
Another student, Ethyn Perchez, emphasized the creativity on display at the event.

“It’s so cool seeing all of the different costumes and merchandise people made,” Perchez said.
Cosplay remains one of the convention’s biggest attractions, with attendees often spending months designing and crafting their outfits. These costumes range from popular anime characters to original designs, showcasing both skill and dedication.
Beyond cosplay, LVL Up Expo features a variety of activities, including panels, live entertainment, and opportunities to meet artists and creators. Gaming enthusiasts can participate in tournaments or try out new releases, while anime fans can attend discussions and screenings related to their favorite series.
The event also fosters a sense of belonging for attendees. For many students, it is a chance to meet others who share similar interests, something that can sometimes be difficult to find in everyday school settings. The welcoming atmosphere encourages people to express themselves freely and connect with others in meaningful ways.
As the dates approach, excitement continues to build among local students planning to attend. With its mix of entertainment, creativity, and community, LVL Up Expo remains a highlight of the year for many in Las Vegas.
For Shadow Ridge students and others in the area, the convention is more than just an event; it is an experience that brings fans together and celebrates the things they love.
