The vibrant halls of Shadow Ridge High School are buzzing with excitement as senior Allison Brown shares her unforgettable experience at a recent concert featuring her favorite band, The Runarounds. What began as just another day for the aspiring musician turned into a remarkable adventure, blending music, friendship, and serendipity.

It all started when Brown and her friends ventured to Arizona on a sunny afternoon, eagerly waiting in line for the concert. With three hours to spare before the doors opened, Brown settled in, hoping for a glimpse of her idols. Just as her anticipation peaked, fate intervened. Earlier that day, she had the chance to meet one of The Runarounds’ members, who not only greeted her warmly but also provided her with water and chairs to add comfort to the wait.
The Runarounds are a professional band that starred in a television show, they are now touring the U.S. with plenty of fans.
“The atmosphere was electric, even before the concert began,” Brown remarked, recalling the thrill of seeing her favorite band.Â
As if the day couldn’t get any better, the entire band made a surprise appearance to greet their die-hard fans. During this unexpected meet-and-greet, the band members were keen to engage with the crowd and even asked if anyone played the guitar. With her heart pounding, Brown spoke up and revealed her passion for music.

To her astonishment, guitarist Jeremy Yun turned to her and said, “It’s so cool to meet fellow instrument players.”Â
In a moment that felt surreal, he handed Brown a beautiful guitar, encouraging her to play for the line of fans.Â
“They wanted me to play while we waited in line,” she explained, beaming with excitement. “I couldn’t believe it. I told them I was in a band too, and we chatted for a few moments. It felt like a dream!”
Her friend James Leavitt, a junior at Shadow Ridge, stated “I wish I could have gone to the concert; The Runarounds are spectacular!”Â
It’s clear that Brown’s experience not only inspired her friends but also solidified her passion for music even further.
As Brown prepares to graduate this spring, her incredible encounter with The Runarounds serves as a reminder that dreams can come true in unexpected moments. With a guitar gifted to her by one of her heroes, she is more motivated than ever to pursue her musical ambitions, proving that sometimes, magic happens when least expected.
