Ms. Taisha Jones is one of Shadow Ridge’s on-site technicians, and has been at Shadow for three years. While each year has presented a challenge, she perseveres and excels at her job. She was originally an office specialist, but quickly transitioned to an on site technician.

Ms. Jones is excited to use her innovative ideas to reach others through her work, which she considers a form of art. She finds fulfillment in helping and teaching others, as she believes it demonstrates growth in both them and herself. Having technical difficulties can be frustrating, especially when students need help with a problem. Fortunately, Shadow Ridge has Ms. Jones, who is always available to help.
Over the past three years, Ms. Jones has allowed her creative side to flourish in her work. She enjoys working alongside her nieces and nephews, who attend the school, and her coworkers who make her days lively.
Ms. Jones said, “We had a lot of fun together, as we were able to do a lot of influential things for the district.”
She particularly enjoyed the 2023-2024 school year when she watched her family members graduate. This experience motivated her to work just as hard and ensure they always feel supported. Ms. Jones is committed to her work both in and outside of school, collaborating with many to create a fun and engaging environment.
She is always looking for ways to bring exciting opportunities to the school, such as collaborating with food vendors like, Hotdog on a Stick, HapaHaole’s Hawaiian Street Tacos, Farm Basket, and Kona Ice. Ms. Jones has even brought the Hot 97.5 Radio Station for their music for events like homecoming, prom and other activities here at the school.
By working with these businesses, she gives students access to local companies and on-the-go restaurants even at school.
Ms. Jones is always looking for new ways to provide students with a fun and easy experience, no matter the time or place. Her advice for this year’s seniors is: “Reach for the stars so that you can fall in the clouds. Also, do not fear rejection or to ask for help!”
