Starbucks Holiday Drinks Return

A drink from last year’s winter menu, the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino with added Sugar Cookie Syrup.

On November 3rd, the annual Starbucks holiday drinks are returning to the menu. Every year, Starbucks releases their fall drinks in August, followed by their winter drinks in November. According to Starbucks Stories, the menu is returning with fan favorites like the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, and Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, as well as food items, cold foams, and syrups.

Junior Kasai Janvier goes to Starbucks sometimes with his mom and little siblings. He enjoys the fall and winter menus.

“I like both menus but my favorite is the winter one. I really enjoy the Snowman Cookie because it is flavorful and sweet. I am looking forward to trying the new Gingerbread Loaf, I think it will be really good.”

Each year Starbucks holds a Red Cup Day during the winter months, where customers can get a free cup with their purchase. Red Cup Day 2023 is planned to be on Thursday, Nov. 16. Besides red cups, Starbucks changes their generic cup design to festive holiday ones. This year there are four distinct designs for the season, not yet released. These designs will be seen on hot drink cups only.

Junior Kelsey Barney likes to go to Starbucks occasionally over the holidays. She likes getting a drink to warm her up, but her favorites are year round.

“The holiday menu really isn’t a big thing for me because my favorite is the Strawberry Refresher and that stays year round. Sometimes I will have hot chocolate in the winter to stay warm, and I love how Starbucks makes it.”

According to Hip2Save, a new holiday drink, the Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai will be available this upcoming season. This new drink is meant to replace the beloved Gingerbread Latte. Leaked menus reveal that Starbucks is also releasing the Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop and the Gingerbread Loaf to go along with their other seasonal treats.

Barney continues, “The Caramel Brulée Latte and the new Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai both sound good, I think I will try them this holiday season.”

Tasting Table explains, “Starbucks is also rolling out a series of cold foams that can be added to beverages about a month following that in December; those include Peppermint, Chocolate, Caramel Brulée, Sugar Cookie, and Chestnut Praline.”

Seasonal syrups and cold foams get a lot of recognition since they are only available for about three months.

Even though Starbucks’ Instagram (@starbucks) is all about the fall season right now, more information about the 2023 winter menu can be found online.
