Bahama Bucks is a popular shaved ice place in Las Vegas that currently has one location in Las Vegas, 6315 Losee Rd #101, North Las Vegas, NV 89081.

Bahama Bucks has tons of different flavors, toppings, smoothies and even ice cream. From the “Mangonada Extreme” to the “Oreo Cookie,” flavors differ from tropical and fruity to sour and sweet. Some of the snow cone flavors are available as a sugar free, natural or super sour flavor if the regular ones don’t sound appealing. For those who are interested in toppings, Bahama Bucks offers several “Tropical Toppings.” Ice cream, tropic creme, Oreo pieces, and chamoy are just some of the many that they provide.

Junior Alexis Gonzalez says, “I love Bahama Bucks, they have such good flavors and the toppings are always so fun. My favorite snow cone is the birthday cake flavor with vanilla ice cream. I also like the Red Bull infused Peach Rush.”

Shadow Ridge student council is now serving Bahama Bucks at lunchtime every Thursday. All shaved ice will be selling for $5. Students can pick out their flavors and enjoy a treat.

The surf club is a Bahama Bucks reward program where customers can collect points, called Paradise Points, for a free treat and other discounts in the app. Customers can receive a free “Small Signature Sno” after their first purchase. More information on reward points can be found on their website, along with nutrition, allergen information, and ingredients.

Junior Maya Garay explains, “Bahama Bucks is one of my favorite dessert places. My favorite flavor is Kokomoko. It’s basically a lot of chocolate, chocolate toppings, and whipped cream. Another one I really like is Beach Bum. It has a coconut flavor with hints of chocolate and nuttiness.”

Bahama Bucks also has Red Bull and soda infusions available. If none of the popular options sound appealing, they also offer acai bowls, frozen hot chocolate, and several types of popping candy.

To join Bahama Bucks Avalanche Crew, job applications are available on their website. The Buck’s Surf Shop is also available for customers. This e-shop offers t-shirts and other items in support of the franchise.

Gonzalez continues, “I love the experience at Bahama Bucks. I always go there with my friends and family. Another plus is that the workers are very friendly and it makes the environment really comfortable. I love how casual their uniforms are.”

Julia Willhite is a sophomore at Shadow Ridge. She loves watching TV, sleeping, and doing homework. Her favorite TV show is Dawson's Creek. On the weekends, she moonlights as a fast food worker, serving chicken sandwiches and waffle fries to the lovely patrons of Chick-Fil-A. Her favorite color is yellow and her favorite smell is lemon. Her favorite chore to do around the house is vacuuming because it makes her carpet fresh. She is very excited for this upcoming year and hopes her articles will bring giggles and grins to her fellow classmates.
