Here at Shadow Ridge High School, one of the school’s Mustangs is in their final year of being with the school, Senior Class Vice President, Neveah Clinton
Clinton is an outstanding student and all around hard worker in the Student Council, sports, and academics. She is a sprinter for the track team and can be a very supportive teammate and friend to those around her. One thing she is pushing to work on is her strides so she can go longer distances with less effort. Clinton loves running for Shadow Ridge because of the people she’s met in her time here and for how great the school is in her opinion.
Clinton says, “I get a lot of support from my peers, teammates, and Coach Smith. They help me push myself and thrive when I feel like I can not. Track is not just a physical sport; it is also a mental sport, and you have to conquer that.”
Shadow Ridge is lucky to have her as a student; she is a great example and role model to her peers. Clinton is an all-around passionate person when it comes to her academics and the work she does for the Student Council where she organizes events for the senior class such as Senior Sunrise whose theme for senior year is “albums.”
Clinton states, “It’s difficult balancing sports grades and extracurriculars because sometimes they tend to overlap each other and you have to figure out how to make each other work.”
For the future, Clinton wants to get into some great universities, like Georgia State University or Clark Atlanta, after she graduates and is offered scholarships. This just shows how determined she is to reach greater heights.
Clinton stated, “One thing I love about Shadow Ridge is the support I have from the teachers and staff such as Ms. Smith, Ms. Vargus, and Ms. Coyle who are all people who have helped me push myself.”
Clinton is a great example of a student who is involved in many activities and is a role model for her peers. She is a hard worker and is determined to succeed. She is also a very supportive teammate and friend. Clinton is a valuable asset to Shadow Ridge High School and will continue to be successful in the future.
