No. 1 Boba Tea was the first bubble tea place to open in Las Vegas. No. 1 Boba Tea opened up in 1988. They now have fifteen locations spanning across three states with the majority being in Nevada, but also a location in Texas, and in California. No. 1 Boba Tea prides itself on their use of fresh fruit to make their delicious drinks. They have a very wide menu with a variety to fit everyone’s cravings. They have milk teas, flavored teas, and slush drinks that can be ordered hot, cold, or vegan for many menu items. They also have additional toppings that can be added on top of the included Boba making it perfect for anyone no matter what they’d like in their drink.
Boba King Las Vegas is a unique to Las Vegas franchise with seven locations around the Vegas valley. Boba King also has a wide menu featuring something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Their menu includes milk tea, blended drinks, flavored milk tea, and honey tea refreshers. They have a wide range of toppings to choose from as well which includes pudding, jelly, and popping Boba.
I first went to No. 1 Boba where they had very fast service. I was in the building for maybe a total of 5 minutes. The area would be a perfect alternative to a coffee shop to study as it was quiet, welcoming, and comfortable. I ordered a medium Thai milk tea with Boba and it was $7.23 after tax and tip.
When I went Boba King, it was within about 20 minutes of when they opened so it was still fairly early, there wasn’t anyone in there so service went by super quick. It was also quite inviting inside as they had some games to play and plenty of seating. I also ordered a Thai tea with Boba and paid $6.84 after tax and tip.
As far as pricing goes, Boba King was definitely cheaper, however getting mediums at both locations, the medium at No. 1 Boba was larger. For the best bang for your buck scale I think that either are good options however I would choose No. 1 Boba as it was a larger size. However, both are definitely inexpensive as far as Boba goes.
Many people still like to enjoy the drink even without Boba and as far as the drink alone goes, I would definitely have to say Boba King had a better Thai tea. It was far sweeter and tasted more desert-like, whereas No. 1 Boba was much more average tasting. While it was delicious, I would just say there were more flavors that could be picked up in the one from Boba King.
The Boba however was a different story, this may have just been a fluke, but the Boba I had at Boba King was very shriveled. It was still plenty soft and tasted good but the shriveled outside really was throwing me off. The Boba that No. 1 Boba had to offer while not tasting as good and sweet had much better texture. It was exactly what you would expect from Boba. Firm yet still soft, No. 1 Boba without a doubt had the number one Boba.
All in all, both Boba establishments are ones that I will be returning to and I enjoyed them both. Given the outcomes I would say it is a very close competition. With the slight edge I would give No. 1 Boba an 8/10 on the Boba scale and Boba King a 7/10 on the Boba scale.

Number One Boba has probably the cutest most handsome worker i’ve ever seen, and also the quality of the boba is soft and chewy.

Boba King is sketchy and creepy, went there and they didn’t even know what Boba was.
