Billie Eilish’s New Album “Happier Than Ever”
May 7, 2021
Billie Eilish has announced that her new album “Happier Than Ever” is coming out on July 30th. She also dropped a new single “Your Power” on Thursday, April 29th as a preview for the album.
Eilish told Rolling Stone how this album is an exciting new venture for her. “This is my favorite thing I’ve ever created and I am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it,” Eilish wrote. “I can’t even tell you. I’ve never felt so much love for a project as I do for this one. Hope you feel what I feel.”
Like her debut album, “Happier Than Ever” is a collaboration with her brother Finneas O’Connell.
On the album cover, Billie’s hair is blonde, a contrast from her signature black and green hair, and she’s holding herself and crying. There seems to be a lot of symbolism in the cover, which has a 50’s feel to it.
Billie has won record of the year at the Grammy’s for two years in a row, in 2020 with “Bad Guy” and last month in 2021 with “Everything I Wanted,” and it seems with the release of “Happier Than Never” she’s got a shot at winning three years in a row.
The music video for number 12, Your Power was released on the 29th, and Eilish spoke about how “Your Power” is close to her heart, and releasing the song was a very vulnerable experience for her.
“This is about many different situations that we’ve all either witnessed or experienced. I hope this can inspire change. Try not to abuse your power,” she wrote.
A ton of big things are happening for Billie Eilish, the album, her recent appearance on the cover of British Vogue, and a new line of merch inspired by her album coming out soon.
“Shop new merch and ‘Happier Than Ever’ box sets in Billie’s official store.” she tweeted.

Love the song Therefore I Am. I didn’t know she collaborated with her brother on this. Thanks for the information. I will have to check out her other songs.
