Gilcrease Orchard is bringing the fall spirit to Las Vegas this month, they are hosting a fall harvest for anyone in the mood for fall fun. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Gilcrease has tickets available for entry, once inside they have many activities like picking pumpkins, wagon rides, and more. All this fun can cause tickets to sell out quickly and Gilcrease suggests getting tickets around a week in advance of going. This is a perfect opportunity to spend time with friends and family, they have unique experiences and foods designed for the fall season.
“Ayalah and I are excited to spend time together. We are going to pick pumpkins and try all the food that they make at Gilcrease,” Paissyn Richardson, sophomore, stated.
The concessions at the fall harvest are an important part of the experience, they offer an array of options for visitors to select. They also sell snacks like unique types of donuts, caramel apples, and even fresh produce, unfortunately the food and snacks come at an additional cost. This is a great place to build friendships and make unique memories that can be remembered for years. It is amazing for high school students, it has plenty to offer in entertainment all at a price that is suitable for students on a budget.
“I went last year with friends and did the activities but my favorite was the wagon ride and it was only about $20 for all of us,” sophomore Ian Neely stated.
For a group of four friends to purchase tickets on a Saturday it would be less than $21 for the entire group. Tickets are around $5 on weekends and $3 for a weekday. The tickets must be purchased in advance on the website and tickets are not sold at the orchard. The pumpkin patch is a staple of fall and Gilcrease Orchards fall harvest has a selection of many pumpkins. Visitors can choose the pumpkin that calls to them but it will be at a cost of $0.75 per pound.
Weekends at Gilcrease have a special event called the Hocus Pocus Show, the show runs at 9:30 a.m., 10:20 a.m., and 11:10 a.m. The show features the three spellbinding witches from the popular movie. This is a great show for younger kids or even older fans who enjoy the magic of the Halloween season.
