Every year, the Shadow Ridge choirs prepare for their first fall concert where they perform songs that will put the whole audience in a cozy mood.
The Choir consists of the Beginning, Intermediate, Concert and Chamber levels, who each give a stunning performance to kick off the new year and get students and parents excited for future concerts.
The Shadow Ridge Choirs had been working hard since the beginning of the school year to show their dedication and hard work.
Senior Concert and Chamber singer, Avery Frick, stated, “What I was most excited about the fall concert was being able to show an audience what we could perform.” She commented, “Our hard work always pays off, and being able to express our voices in making beautiful music is something that we love, not only as an ensemble, but as people.”
The choirs at Shadow Ridge represent not just the time and effort they’ve put into their performances, but how they work together as a group.
Sophomore Concert singer, Vanessa Gianinni, commented, “I was most excited to see everyone’s hard work come to life, and to see all of the choirs come together as a family.” Gianinni says, “I was in choir in elementary school and middle school. I really loved my choir in 8th grade, but the Shadow Ridge choir is amazing,” she added, “I think it’s my favorite choir I’ve ever been a part of.”
Not only do students get their encouragement to be the best they can be from Mr. Halvorson, but they find it in other students as well.
Giannini also remarked, “The Shadow Ridge Choir encourages me to become the best singer I can be with the help of older students being positive and supportive.”
The Shadow Ridge Choirs spread support and encouragement among all of their singers.
“Everyone in my choir classes encourages me and keeps me going. Especially Mr. Halvorson,” acknowledged Frick.
The Shadow Ridge Choir performances aren’t just about singing, but they’re about unity, and coming together as a group to present their dedication and hard work to an audience as a whole.
And so, together the choir will come together to perform the hard work that they have been preparing for all year, yet another choir concert in the books.
