Oasis in the Desert
Looking for something new this summer? Whenever one thinks of Las Vegas, beautiful outdoor landscapes, an Italian-style area, lakeside views, and resorts might not come to mind. Lake Las Vegas has become one of Vegas’ local’s hidden gems. Lake Las Vegas offers a variety of outdoor and indoor activities. Lake Las Vegas is located in Henderson, Nevada, about a 30-minute drive from The Strip, and is open 7 days a week.
One of Lake Las Vegas’ biggest attractions is the Aqua Park. The Aqua Park is a floating arrangement of grouped activities. The Aqua Park consists of various climbing walls, slides, swings, and more. The attraction is open to anyone above the age of 6, although anyone under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and most know how to swim. One session can cost $27 to $35, each session lasts 45 minutes.
Other than the Aqua Park there are still plenty of other aquatic activities on Lake Las Vegas. Paddleboarding is open to older audiences. Participants must be 16 years or older and have the consent of a parent or guardian to ride alone on a paddleboard. Anyone under the age of 18 must also wear a life vest. Prices range from $35 to $40 for a 2-hour paddleboard rental.
For those who want something a little more thrilling and sure to get one’s adrenaline rushing, look no further than the Flyboard Water Jetpack. The Flyboard is a water-powered hoverboard that allows users to fly over the water. A 55-foot hose connects the Flyboard and a Jet Ski. Water is propelled through the hose using the Jet Ski’s momentum, and the user can navigate using heel and toe pressure, similar to a hoverboard!
Boat rentals are available to those who seek to spend time on the lake without the hassle of
getting wet. Electric boats can be rented for 2 hours pricing at $199-$399. Luxurious electric boats can be rented for 2 hours starting at $329. While both options are stated as great options for family and friends, the luxurious option can hold up to 13 guests. Anyone wanting to operate these boats must be over 18 years.
Lake Las Vegas is guaranteed to add something new to the upcoming summer vacation. From aquatic activities and restaurants to scenic afternoons on the lakeside. Lake Las Vegas is not something to miss out on this summer.
