Junior Paul Conners is a photographer for the Shadow Ridge yearbook. His love for photography began at a young age when he gained inspiration from one of his favorite photographers on social media. Ever since, Conners has always wanted to become a professional wedding photographer.
Conner’s love for photography began when he was in eighth grade. Inspired by the world around him, he started experimenting with a camera, eager to capture the fleeting moments of life. While taking photos, Conners believes that being patient and really knowing what to look for can get photographers the best photos.
Over the years, Conners honed his skills, experimenting with different techniques and styles. He immersed himself in the world of photography, seeking guidance from established photographers. He embraces both digital and film photography, appreciating the unique qualities of each photograph.
Conners states, “If I feel like my work is getting stale, I switch up the lenses, the cameras, all of it.”
Aside from Conner’s outstanding work, Conner’s work mostly focuses on sports photography and the close ups of dynamic players. He captures the intensity of a game-winning shot, the fellowship of a team celebrating a victory, and the determination etched on the faces of athletes pushing their limits.
Conners states, “My favorite thing to shoot would definitely be our Shadow Ridge Volleyball Team because they are the most electrifying and you get the coolest shots.”

His images are a testament to the dedication, skill, and passion that drive young athletes. Today, Conners is a familiar face on the sidelines, his lens trained on the action, ready to freeze those unforgettable moments in time.
Conners states, “Whenever I go to sporting events, I always think of how cool the pictures would look like by being observant, patient, and really knowing what to look for.”
Tania Mason, the yearbook teacher at Shadow Ridge, couldn’t be more thrilled with Conner’s contributions.
“Paul came into the yearbook with some skills, but he is quickly becoming quite the masterful photographer,” Mason shared.
Conner’s dedication and passion for photography have not gone unnoticed. He spends countless hours honing his skills, experimenting with different techniques, and always striving to improve his craft. His enthusiasm is infectious, inspiring his classmates to push their own creative boundaries. With Conner’s talent and Mason’s guidance, this year’s yearbook will be nothing but perfection!
“At this rate, the yearbook will be taken up to the next level,” Mason shared, her voice filled with pride.
