With the end of the school year approaching tomorrow, May 28, 2025, students reminisced on one of the happiest nights of their senior year: Disney Grad Night.

After he graduates, senior Lucas Halvorson will be having a graduation party with his brother Lawrence (Larry) Halvorson, and then the two will go their separate ways and Lucas will head off to college at Southern Utah University. But this night will be a moment Lucas will always remember.
“It’ll be a core memory for sure. It’s definitely not something I’d forget,” Lucas stated. “My favorite part about it though was spending it with some of my friends and my brother, Larry. Mainly my friend Adam: he was very much an endless source of entertainment and very good at making everyone in our group laugh.”
As for another senior, Donovan (Donnie) Jackson, this was her first time going to Disneyland and it was definitely a moment that will stay with her forever.
“It felt like an adrenaline rush,” Jackson mentioned. “There was a rise, a high, and then tranquility knowing that it was all worth it. But my favorite part was when I got to be with my friends during dinner, Avrie Vohs and Riley Higgins. Out of nowhere, me and Riley just started dancing like crazy people. We danced on tables while flipping our hair. Just as I thought it couldn’t get any more fun, people started staring, but I’ve never felt more free.”

After Jackson graduates, she has big goals for modeling, acting, and more.
“I plan to continue my journey in content creation and hopefully get some headshots for acting and modeling,” Jackson said. “Then, in January, I’ll be going to the University of Southern California to start my college life in Los Angeles!”
If Lucas could ride one attraction all night it would have the be
the Rise of the Resistance.
“The actual ride is very fun and extremely engaging, and I really like Star Wars. But it’s also a whole experience: while waiting to get on the ride, you’re immersed in this whole storyline and it’s just really cool,” Lucas stated.
For Jackson, the best ride would have to be the Haunted House. The ride itself was scary, but when she was with her friends and held their hand, it wasn’t so bad after all.
But the best part about Disney? The food!

“Oh, where do I start?!” Jackson exclaimed. “From churros, to the cotton candy, and the drinks–it was like an endless pit of cravings!”
Lucas agreed on the churros, but he also mentioned the beignets and birria.
“You can find the churros just about anywhere, but the beignets are specifically in the New Orleans part of Disneyland,” Lucas stated. “And at this one restaurant, the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, they had a beef birria with toasted cheese and it was the most delicious thing I’ve ever had.”
