Pavlovich has been playing softball since she was seven years old. Her parents were the ones who enrolled her in this sport but she was encouraged by many people who surrounded her in her elementary school days.
“I was encouraged to play softball by many of my friends and coaches but especially my parents. They have always pushed me to keep playing and I am very lucky I am to be able to play and do what I love,” mentions Pavlovich.
Another one of her biggest supporters throughout her sports career has been her three uncles who are also her coaches who have been through all her firsts as a softball player.
“My biggest supporters throughout my softball journey have been my uncles. Two of them have been my coaches on the field since my very first softball team and one has been a coach off the field. They have taught me many things for this sport and life that has always been there for me,” comments Pavlovich.
This junior currently plays club softball for a team named Lil Rebels Gordie/TC and has been playing for them since she was twelve years old. As she has grown with her club teammates and her high school teammates, she has learned value and responsibility from the sport.

Pavlovich mentions,“Softball has impacted me in many ways, it has taught me lessons and how to grow within yourself, as well as growing athletically, but it has given me a family and my best friends who I believe will be with me forever and love very much.”
During the 2024-2025 school season, she wants to improve in many things and has the confidence to do so. She wants to continue playing at a higher level and has the perseverance to work through her struggles.
“I am looking forward to making new goals, as well as the new traditions we will make as a softball team. This season I want to work on getting more confident and being able to live in the moment with the sport, because I never know when the last day will be when I step onto the field. I do wish to play softball at a higher level because it has been a goal of mine since I was young. My dream is to play out of state and see as much of the world as I can while playing softball,” comments Pavlovich.
Her uncle, one of the main coaches on Pavlovich’s club team, has commented wonderful things. He believes his niece will go far in this sports career, and will eventually accomplish many different things as she plays. He has seen her grow and progress from when she was little to now.
“Alina, while starting off timid at first, has taken a full head approach every year. She has grown her confidence and offensive ability by putting her head down and putting in the work. She also always chooses to never make excuses and compete at higher levels year after year. Some advice I would give Alina is to know that her work is never complete, as well as to always work on your defense and offense as much as possible,” mentions Chris Lowy.
