Key Club Advisor, Rhealyn Boquiren stated, “The club has put together 1 million books to donate to younger students. This is one of the projects required for our members participating in the Chick-fil-A Leadership Program. Through this program, students learn about important aspects that make a leader once or twice a month through the curriculum provided by Chick-fil-A. topics we will be covering throughout the rest of the year include, servant leadership, teamwork, innovation, communication, and impact. Students are partaking in different projects that serve to benefit our community in some way throughout the year.”

This is an annual Key Club event where multiple schools from all over the valley get together to attend seminars where students learn about new ideas to bring back to their own Key Clubs, participate in spirit competitions, yell a LOT, eat lots of good food, make new friends, and end the evening with a dance!”
Key Club has many plans of things they will be participating in this year like going to the fall Key Club Rally where Key Club students go to Six Flags Magic Mountain to meet other Key Club members from California and Nevada. At the fall rally, students will network, build positive relationships, and showcase their district’s spirit.
Boquiren continued, “Key Club is planning on many things this year like attending the Fall Rally which is another major Key Club event, designate a day for our members to deliver the 1 million books we put together and read to younger kids, partner with Best Buddies to fundraise money, and partnering with Outdoors Club to clean up the front of our school’s parking lot, and so much more.”
