Mrs. Smith’s Sausage Stuffing
Ingredients
- 2 sticks unsalted butter – melted
- 1 large onion – minced
- 8 celery stalks – minced
- 2 pounds Bob Evan’s spicy sausage
- 4 cups or more crouton stuffing (plain)
- 2-3 tablespoons chopped FRESH sage
- Salt
- Pepper
- Poultry Seasoning
- Chicken broth

Step 1
Brown and drain sausage. Pat dry with paper towels
Step 2
Saute onions and celery until soft, and in a large bowl combine butter, onion, celery, sausage, croutons, and sage
Step 3
Add small amount of broth until desired moistness is reached
Step 4
Salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning to taste. It will take a lot of poultry seasoning
Step 5
Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes or until desired crispiness is reached
