Junior Studies
The ACT/College Prep course is designed to prepare students for the five subtests of the ACT: English, Math, Reading, Science Reasoning and Writing. Students will learn test-taking strategies, review content focused on the ACT standards in English, Math, Reading, and Science, learn techniques for information retrieval, complete pre-ACT test practice and analyze results, learn memory techniques, develop vocabulary, use individualized instruction based on each student’s deficits, research college and scholarship applications/requirements, and discover ways to reduce test anxiety. The central goal is to increase both subtest scores and composite scores.
