Popeyes first began their business 47 years ago in New Orleans, Louisiana. They first opened their first franchise in Louisiana in 1976 and later expanded all the way to Toronto, Canada in 1984. Since then, Popeyes has grown internationally and has expanded its business with 3,451 restaurants located in the United States, Puerto Rico, and 30 other countries worldwide. 

A close location to Shadow Ridge is on N. Durango Dr. When I first arrived at this location, the drive-thru line was very long. We waited in the line for about 20 minutes before we were able to order our food. I decided to get a spicy chicken sandwich without pickles. This has been my go to order since the big debate between Chick-fil-a and Popeyes battle over who has the better sandwich. Throughout my experience, the staff was very kind even through a really busy rush hour. After spending about a total of 30 minutes in the drive-thru, we finally received our meals.

The sandwich itself was definitely larger than the one at Chick-Fil-A, and it was very delicious. The chicken was very warm and crispy on the outside, and the sauce they put in it was very good as well. Resulting in 700 calories total, the sandwich was definitely able to make me full. Overall, I would recommend Popeyes to anyone! The service and quality of the food was definitely worth the price!
