Ruby Muschong is a sophomore at Shadow Ridge High School and this is her first year in journalism. Ruby was recruited by Mrs. Smith when she did a presentation in different English classes highlighting all of the benefits that journalism has to offer. Ruby is also a member in the Shadow Ridge Marching Band as well as a member in the jazz ensemble, where she plays the alto saxophone. While Ruby loves to play instruments, she also has a deep love for listening to music. Her top three artists are Future, Jhene Aiko, and Daniel Caesar. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, baking, roller skating, watching the sunsets, and much more. Ruby has always enjoyed writing, whether that’s creating an essay, just writing about her day, and even making poems; it doesn’t matter, writing will always be something she enjoys doing.
