Savannah Abney is a sophomore at Shadow Ridge. Born and raised in Las Vegas, this is her first year writing for The Lariat and she is so excited! Savannah has a love for running, writing, and music. During her free time, she participates in Shadow’s Varsity Track and Cross Country teams where she works hard and pushes herself to always be better. After winning state her freshman Cross Country season, Abney loves and dedicates most of her time to running. Abney also has other loves such as music. Abney plays the violin, which she loves and enjoys doing; she is in Shadow’s Chamber Orchestra as well as Zion’s Youth Symphony and Chorus. In her free time, she spends time with her friends and family and cherishes those relationships.
