Dahlya Barlow is a sophomore at SRHS and is new to The Lariat. Outside of school she will be found sleeping, playing piano/guitar, and listening to her favorite band, Blink-182. She found herself at The Lariat by accident but looks forward to sharing her writing skills and improving them throughout the year. At home she has four younger brothers and an older sister with whom she spends her time. While she may have some physical limitations, she takes deep pride in her writing and creativity skills. She aspires to write music and books professionally as well as preform them herself. She is hoping that The Lariat will be a good stepping stone in her writing journey. She takes inspiration from writers like Jane Austin and Mark Twain. Her favorite TV show is “Gilmore Girls” and it is a show in which she has spent countless hours watching and eventually memorizing.
