Christy Mitchell is a sophomore and a first year journalist at Shadow Ridge who has written quite a lot in her free time.  She chose journalism because of her love for writing. During her year of online school she wrote almost everyday about things going on in her life so she is incredibly fond of writing and believes it carries a greater message than just words on a sheet of paper or screen.  Another contributing factor of her choosing journalism is because of her mom who has written two award winning books. Christy has been very excited about her writing and is incredibly interested in writing for the school. She is excited to see where journalism will take her and hopes to write about a lot of fun, new, exciting, or interesting topics with the help of her peers and teachers.
