Alexa Orgill, Journalist
Alexa is a Junior at Shadow Ridge who is excited to start her first year of journalism! She decided to take journalism because she has an affinity for any kind of creative writing and looks forward to sharing the stories of her peers at Shadow Ridge. Her goal is to help spread awareness and positivity about events at her school. She tries to adopt a positive attitude to everything in her life. In her free time, Alexa plays the harp, reads, and bakes. Aside from that, she spends as much time with her family and pets as possible. Her dream is to start a cleaning business and eventually move to New Hampshire with her sister. In school, Alexa’s favorite subject has always been history. She believes that its a vital part to understanding the way the world is now and how to build empathy and tolerance towards all people. Journalism is a key part of that as it helps provide an unbiased source of news that could change the course of history. As of last year, her favorite class is Automotive Tech. She thinks it’s a very important set of skills to learn for the real world and believes she would find a career in the field very enjoyable.
